Korean expertise applied to the heat supply sector
Issiqlik Taminoti JSC and Human Shift by Creative Meter Tech (HSCMT) of South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding, paving the way for a major pilot project to integrate artificial intelligence and smart metering technologies into the heat supply system.
“An important practical outcome of cooperation has been the establishment of an AI-based heat supply monitoring center at the headquarters of the joint-stock company”, said Ilhom Turayev, Chairman of the Board of Issiqlik Taminoti JSC. “The total cost of the project is $2.3 million. As part of the project, HSCMT will supply and install high-precision ultrasonic meters, automatically controlled devices for regulating heat flow, and other equipment. In addition, an AI-based software system will be introduced to enable in-depth analysis of incoming data, identify heat pollution, and predict potential accidents”.
The agreement includes two years of system maintenance, continuous monitoring, advanced training for local engineering and technical staff, and specialized training sessions.
Following the analysis, Angren was chosen as the pilot site for testing the AI-powered smart management system. In this pilot, 10 high-precision ultrasonic heat meters were installed at no cost in Almalyk, Angren, and Chirchiq, with data sent to the monitoring center in real time.
The new devices will enable prompt detection of network issues, prevent accidents, optimize energy use, and minimize heat losses.
Based on the favorable evaluation of the pilot project outcomes, the monitoring and management systems will be phased in gradually across other regions of the country.
