Khiva hosts the Uzbekistan – Belarus Interparliamentary Forum
The 4th Uzbekistan – Belarus Interparliamentary Forum on “Strategic Partnership: promoting interparliamentary dialogue, new challenges and prospects for cooperation” has kicked off in Khiva.
The event is attended by the heads of the two countries’ chambers of parliament, representatives of the government, ministries and agencies, higher education institutions, and business.
The forum aims to further develop inter-parliamentary dialogue, identify new areas for mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthen partnership ties.
The event will feature a meeting of the interparliamentary commission and meetings between local representative bodies.
The 4th Uzbekistan – Belarus Women’s Business Forum, to be held as part of the event, will address issues such as industrial cooperation, the effective use of labor potential, food security and biotechnology, partnerships in the humanitarian and social spheres, and joint tourism projects.
The event will also feature an exhibition of national products from Uzbekistan and Belarus.
The Khiva Declaration will be adopted following the event.
