Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev took part in the business forum organized by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It was attended by more than 60 entrepreneurs working in leather processing, pharmaceuticals, tourism, construction materials, agriculture, transport and logistics, wholesale and retail trade.

The President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Jawed Bilwani opened the event and informed about the current state of trade relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev spoke about the priority areas for strengthening bilateral trade and economic and investment cooperation. Detailed information was presented on the conditions and benefits for foreign investors in Uzbekistan and proposals for investment projects.

A conversation was held with chamber members on various topics, including promising areas of bilateral cooperation in industrial cooperation and tourism. Entrepreneurs shared their proposals on measures to establish a direct and systemic dialogue between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, increase the number of products, and expand transit trade. 

Following the forum, an agreement was reached to organize a visit by a delegation of members of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the regions of Uzbekistan to develop specific business projects in textiles, pharmaceuticals, leather, and wool processing.
