On 11-12 March, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov paid a state visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President of Kyrgyzstan got acquainted with the exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan” organized within the framework of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan business forum.

At the exhibition, the two leaders also visited the pavilion of JSC Thermal Power Plants. The Presidents got acquainted with the projects in the field of electricity generation. The heads of state set tasks for officials to strengthen collaboration in the industry.

Recently, a Memorandum on cooperation development and a Roadmap have been signed between JSC Thermal Power Plants and JSC Electric Power Plants of Kyrgyzstan.

“Our goal is to ensure the implementation of the priorities set by the President of our country to further strengthen and develop relations between the two countries based on friendship, good neighborliness, trust and strategic partnership”, said the Chairman of the Board of JSC Thermal Power Plants F. Abdurakhmanov.

Representatives of JSC Thermal Power Plants are currently in Kyrgyzstan to consult on the implementation of the tasks, cooperate in the field of electricity generation, technical assistance to Kyrgyz companies operating in this area, the supply of equipment produced in Uzbekistan under the localization program.

According to the JSC Thermal Power Plants Press Service, during the visit, the delegation is studying the activities of existing thermal power plants in Kyrgyzstan, analyzing issues of joint development of the electricity sector.
