Joint Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan tourist route presented in Berlin
The Joint Silk Road Highlights Tour, a tourist route jointly developed by Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, was presented in Berlin. The initiative seeks to showcase both countries’ tourism potential in the European market and attract international visitors.
The event was organized as part of a joint initiative by Uzbekistan’s National PR Center and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, implemented under a Memorandum of Cooperation signed in July 2026.

The project aims to create a unified tourism offering that combines the historical and cultural heritage of both countries and their shared traditions associated with the Great Silk Road.
The presentation brought together representatives from more than 20 companies and over 40 tourism industry professionals from Germany. Participants were introduced to the route, which includes the historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Baku, Shamakhi, and Sheki.
Meetings with representatives of Germany’s tourism industry were a key part of the event. Discussions centered on building business contacts, forming new partnerships, and creating more opportunities to promote the joint tourism product across the European market.
