Uzbekistan delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoyev met with the Chairman of the Riksdag group in the OSCE PA Björn Söder and his deputy Johan Büser, in Stockholm.

The parties discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Oliy Majlis and the Riksdag within the framework of international parliamentary organizations.

The deputies of the Swedish parliament were informed about the constitutional reform and the upcoming referendum in Uzbekistan, as well as large-scale democratic and socio-economic reforms in the country.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue close cooperation in developing common positions and approaches on issues related to the activities of the OSCE and its Parliamentary Assembly.
