The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov met with representatives of a delegation led by the Director of the International Finance Corporation for Türkiye and Central Asia, Wiebke Schloemer, in Tashkent.

Issues related to the development of public-private partnership, projects implemented in Uzbekistan based on PPP, expansion of cooperation areas and effective use of land were discussed at the meeting.

In addition, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in energy, green development, healthcare, agriculture, and land resources.

During the discussions, representatives of the International Finance Corporation expressed their willingness to support the public-private partnership program and highly appreciated the ongoing activities on improving the investment environment. The parties exchanged views on the transformation process and privatization of banks with the participation of the state.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the further development of cooperation and the implementation of new projects.
