
Namangan is currently hosting the International Junior Tennis Tournament J60, which is included in the official competition calendar of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Alongside athletes from Uzbekistan, participants include representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, and China.
In the first round of the boys’ singles competition, Uzbekistan’s Nuriddin Bakhtiyorov defeated neutral athlete Nikita Kletsov with a score of 6:0, 3:6, and 6:1, advancing to the round of 16.
Today, Sukhrob Saidov will face Artem Svetlov (neutral athlete), Abdurakhmon Karimov will compete against Artem Sidorov of Kazakhstan, and Abdulaziz Usmonjonov will face Timur Dautov (neutral athlete).
In the girls’ singles matches, Uzbekistan’s Zlata Chinnova will play against Safina Khabibrakhmonova from Kyrgyzstan, while Nigina Alimova will face Sara Khamitova from Kazakhstan.
The first-round doubles matches are also scheduled for today. The tournament will continue until March 29.
