International cooperation to boost mountain tourism

Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, met with Xavier Gallot-Lavallée, Founder and Chairman of the French company MND (Montagne et Neige Développement).

The parties discussed implementing the project to develop the Chimgan international year-round resort and to cooperate on building mountain tourism infrastructure.

As part of the Chimgan resort construction project, MND is supplying and installing high-tech equipment for the complex’s key facilities.

During the discussions, emphasis was placed on finishing the project on time, maintaining high quality standards during construction, and turning the Chimgan resort into a contemporary tourism complex that complies with international standards.

The parties also discussed engaging internationally experienced companies to ensure effective management of the resort once it becomes operational. It was noted that this would help improve service quality, increase the flow of foreign tourists, and ensure competitiveness.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to continue practical cooperation to develop mountain, family, sports, and wellness tourism in Uzbekistan and to transform the Chimgan resort into one of the most attractive holiday destinations in Central Asia.
