Currently, a delegation led by Hokim of Tashkent region Zoir Mirzayev is on a working visit to Saudi Arabia.

During a meeting with Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development, the parties discussed in detail issues related to expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects aimed at the socio-economic development of the regions.

The parties addressed the development of transport, engineering, and communications infrastructure in Tashkent region, as well as the introduction of modern projects in the healthcare and education sectors. In addition, special attention was given to leveraging the Saudi Fund for Development’s opportunities in energy, water supply, and food security.

During a meeting with Mohannad Al Abbad, Chief Investment and Business Development Officer at the General Entertainment Authority, issues related to strengthening cooperation in the field of culture and the implementation of joint initiatives to bring people closer were discussed.

In particular, proposals were put forward to launch projects to promote Uzbek culture at Riyadh Boulevard in Saudi Arabia, as well as to establish a restaurant serving Uzbek cuisine and retail outlets for handicrafts.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish cooperation, exchange experience, and continue negotiations on the development of specific joint projects.
