International cooperation in semiconductors and microelectronics expands
An international scientific conference titled “Semiconductor physics and its applications: development prospects in Uzbekistan” is being held at Central Asia University in Tashkent.
The conference brings together local and international researchers, including 55 foreign scientists and specialists and nearly 100 researchers from Uzbekistan. The event, which will continue through October 1, focuses on the development of semiconductor physics, microelectronics, and advanced technologies.
The conference is organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Uzeltechsanoat Association, the Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Council of Physicists of Uzbekistan, the Asian Development Bank, and international partners.
Discussions on the first day focused on developing the microelectronics and semiconductor industries, integrated circuit design, introducing advanced technological solutions, and using artificial intelligence.
The importance of developing research and engineering capacity in the semiconductor sector, training highly skilled professionals for high-tech industries, strengthening science-industry cooperation, and expanding international scientific ties was also emphasized.
Participants discussed current issues in semiconductor physics, microelectronics, and advanced technological solutions, as well as prospects for expanding international cooperation in the sector.
