On September 18, representatives of the public sector, international organizations, higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, Huawei, and students in ICT fields participated in the Huawei ICT Talent Summit.

The event was organized as part of the ICTWEEK UZBEKISTAN 2024, held in Tashkent from September 17 to 20 this year.

Today, Huawei held an ICT Talent Summit to discuss key issues of developing digital skills and supporting young talents in ICT and technologies designed to transform education. The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the IT Education Association supported the summit, which brought together participants from the public sector, higher education institutions, the media, and students of ICT fields.

Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Rustam Karimjonov opened the summit with a welcoming speech and shared achievements in IT education development in Uzbekistan and the conditions created for young people to study advanced technologies, improve their digital and language skills to build a successful career in the ICT industry.

Following the summit, ICT Academy Ambassadors were appointed from among students of local universities. These ambassadors will promote the Academy’s activities locally and help expand their fellow students’ digital knowledge. Registration for the ICT Competition 2024-2025, which will be held throughout the Middle East and Central Asia in partnership with UNESCO IITE, was also launched.
