Thanks to the efforts of the leaders of Uzbekistan and China, bilateral cooperation is consistently developing.

The intergovernmental agreement signed on September 1, 2025, at the SCO Summit, is of particular importance in this regard.

During the meeting, Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun discussed key aspects of implementing this agreement.

Prospects for the development of the material-technical base of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Forensic Medical Examination, the modernization of several medical institutions, and the implementation of grant projects aimed at developing traditional Chinese medicine in Uzbekistan were also discussed at the meeting.

The proposals of Chinese cardiac surgeons to perform high-tech operations for 500 children with congenital heart disease this year were also studied.

These operations are planned to be performed at the National Children’s Medical Center, the Republican Specialized Surgery Center, and the Children’s Multidisciplinary Clinic of the Tashkent State Medical University.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of projects funded by Chinese grants.
