Gobi Partners representatives explored the BioPharma City’s opportunities
Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov met with Gobi Partners representatives.
The meeting focused on developing the pharmaceutical sector and on fostering a favorable business climate for foreign investors.
The guests were briefed on the reforms implemented in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as on the legal mechanisms for attracting investment. It was highlighted that public-private partnership mechanisms and the benefits they provide create significant opportunities for investors.
Special attention was focused on the development of the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster, which integrates science, education, and manufacturing. Its high-tech infrastructure supports the rapid growth of medicine and medical device production.
The Chinese company’s representatives highly valued the scientific and research center, the production infrastructure, and the cluster’s potential for international cooperation.
The parties considered prospects for cooperation in scientific research, biotechnology, and clinical trials. In particular, the parties exchanged views on implementing innovative projects by drawing on China's best practices and attracting venture capital investments in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical market.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation and to implement planned projects.
