In recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has been developing consistently and at a high pace.
The expansion of relations in all areas testifies to the cooperation established between the two countries based on the principles of trust and mutual understanding.
Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Rahimjon Hakimov, as well as heads of political party factions, met with members of the delegation led by Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary, President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Gao Xiang.

The guests were provided with detailed information about the large-scale reforms underway in Uzbekistan and the new approaches being implemented in parliamentary activity and lawmaking.
The guest stressed that mutual trust and friendship between the leaders of the two countries are crucial to the consistent development of relations between Uzbekistan and China at all levels. He noted that regular dialogues between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping can serve as a vivid example of this.

Gao Xiang stressed that in recent years, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan has acquired a completely new look. The rapid development of the economy, steady growth in people’s well-being, and the strengthening of Uzbekistan’s influence not only in the region but also in the international arena testify to the strong political will of the Head of State. The reforms clearly demonstrate the priority of human interests in public policy.
The head of the delegation noted that during the development of the New Uzbekistan, relations between the two countries have risen to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

During the negotiations, proposals were put forward to expand cooperation within the framework of the results of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the 15th Five-Year Plan of China. Special attention was paid to deepening inter-parliamentary and inter-party dialogue, combating poverty, anti-corruption measures, and sharing experiences in the digital and green economy.
The parties also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation within international organizations and multilateral formats, including the UN, the SCO, and the China – Central Asia format.
