Foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Brazil discuss new joint projects
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Mauro Vieira. The parties discussed expanding political dialogue, developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and implementing joint projects across various areas.
Special attention was given to cooperation in agriculture, logistics, education, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian exchange. The parties also noted the need to make more active use of the existing potential for bilateral cooperation.
As part of the Brazilian delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan, a business forum and a roundtable were held, with participation from representatives of the business communities of both countries. Leading Brazilian companies and industry associations, including Embraer, WEG, Petrobras, ABIEC, ABPA, and ApexBrasil, held B2B and B2G meetings.
The heads of the foreign ministries also exchanged views on cooperation within BRICS, the UN, and other international organizations.
According to Bakhtiyor Saidov, Uzbekistan views Brazil as one of its key and reliable partners in Latin America. He expressed confidence that Brazil’s foreign minister’s visit would give new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
