Tashkent city khokimiyat hosted the first session of Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies.

Information of the Chairman of Tashkent City Election Commission on the results of the election of deputies to Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies of December 22, 2019 was heard at the meeting. It was emphasized that the elections were held in accordance with the democratic principles of openness, transparency and objectivity.

22 deputies were elected to Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, 12 deputies from the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat”, 11 deputies from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, from the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” – 11 deputies and from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan – 4 deputies.

Representation was read out about the approval at the session of Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies of the candidacy elected from Tinchlik constituency No. 48 of the deputy Jakhongir Artikhojayev for the post of Khokim of the city of Tashkent.

Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies unanimously approved the candidacy of J. Artikhojayev.

The issue of recommending candidates for membership of the Advisory Council of the Joint Meeting of Deputies of Tashkent City and District Kengashes of People’s Deputies was also considered at the session, and the submitted candidates were approved by a decision of Tashkent City Kengash of People’s Deputies.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Aripov.
