A ceremony was held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk to present the certificate of “Ambassador of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Brand in the Russian Federation” to Irina Lizunova, Director of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Aslam Akbarov, Consul General of Uzbekistan, noted that this is the first time the title of Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan has been conferred upon a resident of Siberia. He emphasized Irina Lizunova’s significant contribution to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Novosibirsk, as well as her role in promoting the rich historical and tourism heritage of Uzbekistan.

In her remarks, Irina Lizunova stated that the appointment is not only a great honor but also a serious responsibility. She expressed her readiness to continue promoting Uzbekistan’s achievements, culture, and tourism potential among the people of Siberia and Russia as a whole.
