Federal President of Germany to pay official visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, accompanied by his spouse, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on June 17-18.

In accordance with the visit program, the heads of the two states will hold talks in both narrow and expanded formats. The parties will consider issues related to deepening multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.

The parties will pay particular attention to expanding practical cooperation in trade, industry, energy and green technologies, transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals and the chemical industry, and agriculture, and to intensifying educational and humanitarian exchanges.

Views will also be exchanged on current issues on the international and regional agenda.

As part of the talks, several new joint projects and programs are planned for launch, along with the adoption of a package of documents designed to give additional impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.
