Draw held for the World Fire and Rescue Sport Championships
Baku hosts the 21st Men’s and 12th Women’s World Championships in Fire and Rescue Sport. More than 400 athletes from over 20 countries, including Uzbekistan, are competing.
The men’s team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan is among the world’s leading teams in fire and rescue sports. In previous years, Uzbek rescuers have repeatedly won medals at international competitions. In 2023, they claimed the world championship title and secured the competition’s top trophy.

The organizers briefed participants on the competition rules, conditions and requirements for athletes. A draw was held to determine the order in which the teams will compete.

The strongest national teams from 23 countries are vying for the world championship title. The competitions will continue until November 8.
