Digital infrastructure development issues discussed

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Robert H. Nagy, Vice President of 4iG, during the Space Technology Conference STC 2026 in Tashkent.

Issues related to developing digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan, including building data centers, attracting international investment, and expanding exports of digital services, were discussed during the negotiations.

The parties discussed the potential of transforming Uzbekistan into a regional data hub, considering the increasing demand for secure data storage.

Special attention was given to training qualified personnel and expanding the outsourcing capabilities of international companies.

Recognizing Uzbekistan’s significant potential in digital services, the parties agreed to strengthen their cooperation.
