Egyptian media reported on a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uzbekistan, Thamer Fathi Abdussalam Hammad, and Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Jasurbek Choriyev.

Current issues aimed at strengthening cooperation in transport were discussed at the meeting. In particular, it was emphasized that the organization of direct air cargo transportation between the two countries will contribute to the growth of mutual trade. It was also noted that there is a need to increase the number of flights between the regions and cities of the two countries to stimulate tourist activity.

The parties also considered the possibility of cooperation in pilot training from Uzbekistan at the Egyptian Aviation Academy, a prestigious educational institution specializing in aviation training.
