Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia, Terhi Hakala.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects for developing interaction between Uzbekistan and the EU in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Organizational aspects of upcoming events in the “Uzbekistan – EU” and “Central Asia – EU” formats were discussed.

The need for the speedy signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union was stated.
