The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable discussion on the “Protection of the Motherland is a sacred duty” with the participation of a group of veterans of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of the country.
According to the NCHR, the event was dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and January 14 –Defenders of the Motherland Day.
It was noted that in the Address of the Head of state to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, special attention was paid to bringing the work to increase the combat potential of the Armed Forces to a new level. According to the President of the country, we must appreciate the greatest gift – peace and tranquility, and preserve this great wealth for the happiness and improvement of our families, children and future generations.
Based on the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 14, 2022 “On measures to prepare and conduct the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defenders of the Motherland Day”, spiritual, enlightenment and cultural events are held across the country under the slogan “The National Army is a strong shield of New Uzbekistan!”.
One of them was a meeting with representatives of the Council of Veterans of the Border Troops of the State Security Service in the National Center, which made a great impression on its participants.
Following the event, the guests were presented with festive gifts.
