A round table conversation dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the First President of Uzbekistan, the great state and political figure Islam Karimov’s birth was held at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

A round table conversation dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the First President of Uzbekistan, the great state and political figure Islam Karimov’s birth was held at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

The event, organized jointly with the Scientific Enlightenment Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov, was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, workers of “Uzbekistan Airways” national airline company, scientists and activists of the Youth Union.

As it was noted, Tashkent International Airport was named after Islam Karimov in accordance with the resolution of the President of our country “On perpetuating the memory of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov” of January 25, 2017.

“Uzbekistan Airways” National Air Company was established in 1992 in accordance with the Decree of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A documentary film about life and activity of Islam Karimov was presented at the event. Veterans, who have worked with country’s First President shared their memories about the founder of our independence.
