Music, dance, and cultural heritage have become symbols of unity between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. To strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly nations, the opening of a large-scale cultural project – the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan – took place in Baku.
The event, organized by the Ministries of Culture of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, features a concert program with prominent artists and a photo exhibition.

The official opening was attended by a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan numbering more than 170 people, comprising People’s and Honored Artists, the State Symphony Orchestra, a maqom ensemble, and the Navruz dance troupe. The delegation is led by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Akhmedov.

According to Akif Marifli, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are based on people-to-people diplomacy, which serves as a bridge uniting people.

As part of the Days of Culture, the first meeting of the Joint Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan Commission on Culture is also scheduled, along with visits to cultural institutions in Azerbaijan and a meeting with the head of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. The closing ceremony will take place at the Mirzo Ulugbek secondary school in Fuzuli.
