Creators of the Turkic World gather in Andijan
On August 21-22, Andijan will host a meeting of the TURKSOY Authors’ Union, part of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, along with an international creative gathering dedicated to the “2026 – Year of Ziya Gökalp”.
Delegates from the TURKSOY Authors’ Union have arrived in Andijan for these events. They were greeted at the Andijan railway station.


The events, jointly organized by TURKSOY, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, and the Hokimiyat of Andijan region, will be attended by chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of the writers’ unions from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, along with scholars, researchers, and prominent literary figures.

Andijan will serve as a hub for literature, poetry, and artistic exchange for two days. The event will help reinforce the shared literary heritage, spiritual traditions, and creative connections among the Turkic nations.
