Cooperation with Oracle under discussion
The Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Washington, Ahror Burkhanov, met with Jun Qian, Vice President of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services at Oracle.
The development of generative artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, human capital, and the digital economy was discussed. The parties exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation and the introduction of advanced technologies in the economy, education, and public administration. Information was provided on the reforms conducted in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President, the high growth rates of the economy, the improvement of the investment climate, and ongoing activities supporting IT and technology entrepreneurship.
Jun Qian highly appreciated the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in a short period of time and stressed that the country’s young and qualified personnel, consistent transformations, the government’s political will, and the state’s strategic geographical location contribute to creating great opportunities for international technology companies.
Issues such as improving the skills of local specialists, supporting start-ups, developing modern cloud and computing infrastructure, and expanding international cooperation in the field of robotics were discussed during the talks.
The parties agreed to add new content to the agreements previously reached with Oracle and to continue the dialogue among the interested organizations. Jun Qian expressed interest in studying the technological transformations underway in Uzbekistan on the ground and accepted an invitation to visit the country.
