During his visit to the Republic of Korea, the Acting Hokim of Samarkand region, Adiz Boboyev, met with the Mayor of Busan, Park Heong-joon.

During the meeting, A. Boboyev informed the attendees about the possibilities of Samarkand as one of the most important logistics centers in the region, which has significant potential to ensure the prompt and efficient transportation of goods along the main road and rail corridors. He also appealed to Korean entrepreneurs with a proposal to discuss the prospects for cooperation in this area.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in electronics and electrical engineering, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals, providing qualified personnel to Busan shipbuilding and industrial enterprises based on effective KOICA programs in Samarkand, as well as addressing labor migration issues. Proposals were made to open a Samarkand Trading House in Busan.

The Mayor of Busan expressed his willingness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Samarkand.
