Cooperation in tourism expands

Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Bobokalonov met with Gailan Saeed Azeez, President of the Chambers of Commerce of Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Particular attention was paid to expanding tourist exchanges, making effective use of available potential, and implementing mutually beneficial projects. The importance of developing cooperation in historical and cultural tourism, family tourism, and pilgrimage tourism was emphasized.

A major focus of the meeting was on developing investment partnerships. Iraqi business representatives were invited to participate in projects such as the development of mountain resorts, modern hotels, and other tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

Additionally, the delegation was invited to participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair, one of the country’s major industry events. The forum offers extensive opportunities for B2B meetings, building new business relations, and exploring promising projects with international partners.
