Cooperation between the liberal Democratic parties of Uzbekistan and Japan strengthens
The Executive Committee of UzLiDeP Political Council held a meeting with representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
During the meeting, it was noted that the relations between the two countries have reached the level of a strategic partnership.

In particular, the high-level talks held during the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2025 were recognized as a significant event that significantly strengthened ties between the states.
Political dialogue and partnership in the economy, investment, innovation, and education are consistently developing.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation between the leading parties of the two countries. The institutional development of inter-party relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the improvement of training mechanisms and the exchange of experience, were considered.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between UzLiDeP and the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
Within the framework of this document, the parties agreed to exchange experience in parliamentary activities, personnel policy, and education. The tasks of expanding cooperation in digitalization, advancing institutional development, and introducing modern management methods were also identified. The parties focused on supporting youth’s and women’s participation in the political process.
