Cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and the UAE strengthens

A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the United Arab Emirates to strengthen practical cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.

Issues of further expanding cooperation in public safety, combating transnational crime, terrorism and extremism, preventing cybercrime, and introducing digital technologies in law enforcement practice and personnel training were discussed at the meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Uzbekistan delegation became familiar with the activities of several structures of the Ministry of the Interior of the UAE. In particular, the Innovation Center demonstrated approaches to the use of artificial intelligence, digital analysis systems, and intelligent surveillance in ensuring security.

At the Central Operational and Management Center of the Main Directorate of Central Operations, the delegation was introduced to the processes for ensuring public safety, the emergency response system, the operation of unified dispatch systems, and video monitoring systems.

Studying the Welfare Department’s activities aroused particular interest. The parties considered systemic approaches to employee social support to ensure psychological stability and foster an effective corporate environment.

The delegation met with the Chief of Dubai Police, Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri. Issues of early crime prevention, the organization of preventive work using digital platforms, the establishment of an open dialogue with the public, and security within the framework of the Smart City concept were discussed during the conversation.

During the visit, the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Aerial monitoring capabilities for mass events, search and rescue operations, traffic safety control, and special event coordination were demonstrated.

The activities to ensure cybersecurity, protect databases, and develop the department’s digital infrastructure were presented at the Department of Information Technology.

In addition, the activities of the Dubai Police’s Crime Investigation Department, the Main Department of Criminalistics and Criminology, the Crime Monitoring and Control Department, and the Tourist Police Department were studied.
