Under the investment project “Construction of the third combined cycle gas turbine plant with a capacity of 650 MW at Navoi TPP”, Navoi TPP JSC and Mitsubishi Power signed a contract worth $784.6 million to realize this project.

The project is implemented due to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from December 28, 2022, No. PP-459 “On measures to implement the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023-2025”.

Under the contract terms, Mitsubishi Power will construct a new, modern, and energy-efficient combined cycle gas turbine plant with a capacity of 650 MW at Navoi TPP located in Karmana district of Navoi region.

The project implementation period is 2023-2026.

The investment project will be implemented with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funding.
