CIS Council of Heads of State News Agencies meeting continues
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has arrived at TASS headquarters in Moscow, where the 27th meeting of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Information Council) takes place.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, according to TASS, has arrived at TASS headquarters in Moscow, where the 27th meeting of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Information Council) takes place.
One of the themes of the meeting became the preparation of joint projects for the 75th anniversary of the Victory. According to the Chairman of the CIS Information Council, TASS Director General Sergei Mikhailov, TASS is preparing a large-scale photo exhibition “Press at War”, which will consist of photographs taken by the agency’s correspondents and photo archives.
CIS Information Council was founded in November 1995. It consists of the heads of state news services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan. The next meeting will be held in March 2020 in Baku.
Activities of the CIS Information Council are aimed at ensuring interaction and cooperation among the CIS countries in the information sphere, creating favorable conditions for unhindered dissemination of information and the effective exchange of experience in professional activities, as well as strengthening media partnership.
