The Hokim of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs led by Ye Weifei, Vice President of AVCiT Technology Holding.

The meeting focused on prospects for cooperation in the development of the energy sector, digitalization, and the creation of a technology park. The parties examined the proposed ideas and projects in detail, slated for implementation. Particular attention was also given to initiatives by another Chinese company – Guangzhou Victel Technology. A representative of the company shared its experience in telecommunications and presented a project for installing experimental broadband wireless base stations in Fergana, operating on a specialized network. Additionally, a concept for constructing a technology park was presented.

The regional governor emphasized the significance of the proposed initiatives, noting that it would be appropriate to implement them in stages – initially as pilot projects, followed by broader scaling.

During the meeting, responsible parties were appointed, and practical measures were outlined to ensure the accelerated implementation of the agreed tasks.

It was noted that Chinese investors are showing steadily growing interest in the region’s investment climate, particularly regarding special industrial zones. One Chinese company, for example, plans to invest an initial $5 million in a transformer production project in Fergana region.
