Central Asia is becoming a space for cooperation and common development
The anniversary event of the Issyk-Kul International Forum, founded 40 years ago on the initiative of the outstanding writer and statesman Chingiz Aitmatov, took place in Cholpon-Ata.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev, delegations from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, the UK, Japan, Italy, Spain, as well as representatives of international organizations, took part in the forum.

Speaking at the forum’s panel session, Mr. Safoyev noted that the modern world is undergoing deep geopolitical transformations. In these conditions, issues of strengthening mutual trust and cooperation in the region, as well as the implementation of mutually beneficial projects aimed at ensuring peoples’ well-being and the sustainable development of states, are of particular importance.
It was emphasized that thanks to the firm political will and consistent efforts of the heads of state, Central Asia is now becoming a region of cooperation and common development.
