Tehran hosted the Meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Member States, chaired by Kazakhstan. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Babur Usmanov led the Uzbekistan delegation.

During the talks, the participants discussed preparations for the upcoming Meeting of the ECO Heads of State Council, scheduled for 2025 in Azerbaijan. The sides exchanged views on improving the Organization’s activities and prospects for cooperation within the ECO.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the ECO Vision 2025 Strategy and the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop a conceptual document “Strategic Objectives of Economic Cooperation 2035”. The participants stressed the importance of joint efforts to achieve sustainable economic growth and regional integration.
