International observers and representatives of international media are monitoring the ongoing elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Local Councils in Uzbekistan.

A Special Correspondent of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House Anastasia Tselyuk is monitoring the voting at polling stations in Tashkent.

“There are quite a lot of people at all polling stations. The voting process is directly monitored by local and international observers. The mood of the voters is excellent. They are very active and approach the elections responsibly and consciously. The elections are held based on the principles of openness and transparency, in accordance with democratic requirements”, says Ms. Tselyuk.
