Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, head of a faction of the “Milliy Tiklanish” Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Alisher Qodirov stated the following regarding the draft Constitutional Law:

– At the meeting of the Head of the state with members of the Constitutional Commission, one thought was expressed: “what our people say, that will be”. Constitutional reforms are being promoted from this point of view.

Why is the draft law submitted for public discussion? To get people’s opinion. Despite the short time, since the day the draft law was promulgated, the Commission has received a lot of proposals. All of them are under study.

I think the proposal to extend the period for studying and discussing the opinions of citizens is very appropriate. We had concerns that we would not have time to study and discuss all the proposals. In ten days, we will consider in detail the received proposals and initiatives.
