Tashkent hosted the first-round matches of the singles category in the ITF W15 tournament, which is included in the International Tennis Federation’s calendar.

In the first round, which took place on the courts of the Olympic Village, Uzbekistan’s Aleksandra Barmicheva defeated Odeta Panasa from Latvia with a score of 7:5, 6:0. In the second round, she will fight Laima Vladson from Lithuania.

The 15-year-old tennis player from Uzbekistan became the youngest participant of the tournament. She demonstrates a confident game in tournaments not only among juniors, but also among adults.

Participation in this tournament is a significant milestone in her sports career, clearly demonstrating that Tashkent is becoming a platform for the development of talented and promising tennis players from all over the world.
