A member of the International Advisory Council and former President of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, expressed his opinion on current global trends, the initiative to update the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy and the priorities of the country’s future development.
According to him, the world has been facing new and complex challenges in recent years, and political processes have reached a level of unpredictability. In such a difficult period, having a clear strategy becomes especially important.
Aleksander Kwaśniewski assessed the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to review the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy as a timely and strategically important decision and expressed full support for this initiative.
He stressed that the country has a solid foundation for the implementation of the renewed Strategy. In particular, the new Constitution, adopted following a referendum in 2023, serves as the legal basis for the development of the state. The country’s economy is developing at a steady pace, and the indicators for 2025 confirm the positive dynamics.
According to the expert, an active and proactive young society has formed in the country. At the same time, there is a pragmatic and effective leadership that enjoys the respect of both its own citizens and the international community.
In the renewed Strategy, he notes, the priority task should be a qualitative renewal of the structure of the economy, expansion of investments in high-tech and export-oriented industries. According to A. Kwaśniewski, these areas will become the key drivers of the country’s economic development in the coming years.
Creating a more favorable and stable environment for investors is also an important component of the Strategy. Such an environment should be based on the principles of the rule of law, transparency, mutual trust and reliability, which will ensure long-term cooperation.
“The renewed Strategy will become the foundation for a balanced and peaceful foreign policy. Today, Uzbekistan is building strong and effective partnerships with the European Union, Russia, China, the United States and other countries. The country has the status of a leading state in the region, and maintaining and strengthening this position is of strategic importance”, he stressed.
According to the expert, a dynamic society, wise, pragmatic and far-sighted leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will help achieve goals, and the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy will provide significant and sustainable results for the development of the country.
