Agro-industry: a new stage of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye

Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye is gaining momentum.

During a working visit to Türkiye, the Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov, met with representatives of well-known companies and leading organizations of this country.

During the negotiations, new investment projects planned for implementation in Uzbekistan in 2026-2027 were discussed. The primary focus was placed on the production of agricultural machinery, the establishment of high-quality seed production, the introduction of modern seedling cultivation systems, and the creation of innovative greenhouse complexes. In particular, an agreement was reached with Hektaş Ticaret T.A.Ş. to build a plant in Tashkent region to produce plant protection products and organomineral fertilizers. Together with Varnet Camsera, it is planned to establish a modern agro-tourism botanical garden in Bukhara region. An agreement has also been signed with Koch Erol Almus to implement a project to produce non-carbonated drinking water in Andijan region.

The company Doganlar proposed the localized production of agricultural machinery, while Arıcı Tarım Turizm ve İnşaat Malzeme proposed developing modern seedling cultivation centers. Armada Brend Seed LLC delivered a presentation on promising projects in elite seed production in Uzbekistan.

A visit by representatives of foreign companies to Uzbekistan is scheduled for February-March, which will contribute to the practical implementation of the planned projects.
