As is well known, yesterday the Uzbekistan national team claimed a 2:0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the final of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, securing the tournament’s top prize.

In a congratulatory message addressed to Bahodir Kurbanov, President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, extended his heartfelt congratulations on Uzbekistan’s victory at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, recently held in Saudi Arabia.

Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa expressed great satisfaction with the achievement, noting that the Uzbekistan national team’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament reflected the significant efforts being made in the country to develop and promote football. He commended head coach Islom Ismoilov and the entire squad for their vibrant and skillful play, which captivated audiences and demonstrated the team’s high level of preparation. The AFC President also wished the Uzbekistan team the best of luck in the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup and expressed his hope for continued success for Uzbekistan’s football community on the international stage.
