Observers from international organizations, foreign countries and media representatives are observing the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People's Deputies.
International observers are monitoring the voting process at the polling stations in Samarkand region and getting acquainted with the activities of the regional territorial election commission.
The President of the Polish publishing house Marszałek Holding, Adam Marszałek, worked several times as an observer during the elections held in our country.
“Yesterday, I was in Tashkent and watched the preparations for the elections, and today, in Samarkand, I observed this process”, said Mr. Marszałek. “People are not indifferent to this political event. They know perfectly well where and for whom to vote. In some countries, people first deal with their personal affairs, and then they can go to the elections. And in Uzbekistan, voters have been going to the elections since early morning. This indicates that your country has accumulated much experience holding elections. Uzbekistan is developing successfully today. The country is open to the world. Therefore, observers from many countries and international organizations came to observe the elections. I have previously observed the elections as part of groups of international organizations. This time, I will participate as an independent observer. When the organizers asked me which territory I would like to work in, I did not hesitate to choose Samarkand. Because every time I come to this ancient, beautiful city, I get new and new impressions”.
Adam Marszałek observed the voting process at Samarkand polling stations and visited the city’s historical and cultural monuments.
