Professor Djoldas Kuldjanov of Saint Louis University, a well-known trauma and orthopedic specialist working at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Ohio, visited Central Asian Medical University in Fergana.

During the visit, a discussion was held with the university leadership. The professor shared his views and experience on improving medical education and practice in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, an agreement was reached to conduct training sessions on modern areas of orthopedics and traumatology for clinical residents and master’s students at Central Asian Medical University. In addition, lectures and masterclasses are planned to be held soon at the Karakalpakstan Scientific and Practical Medical Academy.

Mr. Kuldjanov was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Central Asian Medical University.

The professor’s visit marked an essential stage in the development of scientific cooperation, the training of young specialists, and the improvement of Uzbekistan’s medical system.
