A meeting was held in Paris between the Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Javlon Vakhabov and the President of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) Thierry de Montbrial.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on regional cooperation in Central Asia, paying special attention to the region’s interaction with France.
The region’s cooperation with the world’s leading countries as part of the “Central Asia +” format was discussed during the talks. In particular, Central Asia actively interacts within the framework of more than 10 such formats with almost 40 countries and two regional organizations.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on establishing a partnership between IICA and IFRI by organizing joint events, including forums and roundtable discussions to constantly exchange expert opinions and knowledge, as well as researching current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France, international development and interregional cooperation.
