
At the invitation of the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Mongolia on June 24-25.
In Ulaanbaatar, high-level bilateral meetings and events were held. The parties discussed the further development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Mongolia, as well as the expansion of practical cooperation. A cooperation plan was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia to enhance collaboration in the agricultural sector.

During the visit, in line with the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan, several agreements were reached with Mongolian partners in veterinary science and animal husbandry. By the end of the year, 100,000 heads of pedigree sheep and goats will be imported into Uzbekistan, and a selective breeding program will be established.

A $10 million contract was signed between business entities of the two countries for the supply of poultry meat and eggs to Mongolia. Several Mongolian meat-producing enterprises have been registered for export, with Uzbekistan entrepreneurs assigned to each of them. A cooperation system between Uzbekistan and Mongolian entrepreneurs will also be implemented. Meat imports are expected to double, and the export of meat products produced on a cooperative basis will be organized to third countries, such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Additionally, cooperation in livestock breeding will be expanded.
