9th Congress of Teachers and Education Workers of CIS Countries to be held in Minsk
The 9th Congress of Teachers and Education Workers of the CIS Member States will be held in Minsk on October 1-2. The large-scale forum will bring together delegations from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, BelTA reports.
The congress is themed “Integration processes in education in the CIS member states amid contemporary challenges”. It aims to strengthen cooperation in education, bring together the Commonwealth countries’ scientific and educational resources, and promote a shared educational and humanitarian space.
The central event will be a plenary session at the National Library, which will include a ceremony to present the “Excellence in Education of the Commonwealth of Independent States” badge.
The program will also include the second stage of the 4th International Festival of Pedagogical Excellence, featuring participant-led master classes in the “Teacher”, “Preschool Educator”, and “Psychologist/Social Educator” categories.
During the thematic sessions, experts will discuss the future development of education at every level, from preschool through higher education. They will focus in particular on inclusive education, modern approaches to upbringing, and expanding supplementary education opportunities for children and adults.
A cultural program has also been prepared for participants. The delegations will visit the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History and the Palace of Independence, and lay flowers at the Minsk Hero City Stele.
The congress’s closing ceremony and a Teachers’ Day celebration concert will take place at the Palace of the Republic on October 2.
The CIS Executive Committee and the Ministry of Education of Belarus organized the 9th Congress.
