
Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov held a briefing for media representatives.
– This week, many important events will take place in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and economic life, – says Mr. Asadov. – President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico. Relations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia have been elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. Today, the Head of State will hold talks with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. The Tashkent International Investment Forum is also starting its work today. It is expected that 8 thousand delegates, including about 3 thousand foreign guests from 100 countries, will take part in it. President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan – Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev, as well as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the New the BRICS Development Bank Dilma Rousseff and others are among the participants.
At the forum, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will share his opinion on the main principles of cooperation and directions of Uzbekistan’s trade-economic and investment program, taking into account trends in the impact of global security challenges on the global economy.
A national exhibition will be held, and the Third Plenary Meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held on June 11.
