Uzbekistan’s experience is recognized at the Dushanbe International Conference
Dushanbe hosted an international conference marking the 100th anniversary of Tajikistan’s metrological service.
The event was attended by representatives of the metrological organizations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, Türkiye, China, and Uzbekistan, as well as by heads and experts of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures, the Euro-Asian Cooperation of State Metrological Institutions (COOMET), and the Association for Metrology of the Persian Gulf countries.
The participants focused on the development of metrology over the past century and its role in industry, science, innovation, and various sectors of the economy.

Special attention was paid to the importance of modern metrological infrastructure for ensuring product quality, increasing competitiveness, and developing international trade. The experts stressed that the accuracy and reliability of measurements are among the most important factors for sustainable economic growth.
The Uzbekistan delegation presented reports on ongoing reforms in the country’s metrology, including results from the development of the national reference base, the introduction of digital technologies, the improvement of industrial metrology, and the expansion of international cooperation.

The participants highly appreciated the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology’s initiatives in legislative metrology, the introduction of green economy principles, and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in measurement processes. It was noted that these measures contribute to the field’s digital transformation, increase measurement accuracy, and ensure compliance with international requirements and standards.
Following the event, an agreement was reached to strengthen international cooperation, expand scientific and technical exchange, and implement joint projects to introduce advanced technologies and develop metrological activities.
